QCAM Faculty Workshop

We invite you to participate in the first-ever QCAM Faculty Workshop!

This is a unique opportunity to get hands-on experience in advanced manufacturing with a diverse group of faculty. This workshop will provide a holistic view of metal additive manufacturing including pre-processing, processing, post-processing, and validation.

The goals of this workshop are:

  1. Engage early career faculty in hands-on advanced manufacturing activities related metal AM using DED technology.

  2. Increase participants’ knowledge in advanced manufacturing using additive manufacturing as the platform.

To be eligible to attend, applicants must be:

  1. US Citizen or Permanent Resident

  2. Current faculty and/or staff at a MSIPP Consortium University

The program will include hands-on experience on:

  • Metal additive manufacturing via directed energy deposition

  • Metrology

  • Electric discharge machining

  • X-ray computed tomography

  • Mechanical testing using digital image correlation

  • Scanning electron microscopy

  • And more...

Participants' hotel and lunch for each day of the workshop will be provided, along with a $1275 stipend to help offset any other costs associated with attending.
